It doesn’t matter if you are a big corporation or just one man business, or somehow in between you need a marketing plan.
A marketing plan, for online business, needs just to list the strategies that you will implement during the period in question.
It doesn’t have to be a long thought out process. Something quick and simple will do. You just need to have some idea of what your plans are when it comes to marketing your business.
I asked myself the following question for this blog and my weight loss blog: http://easyhcgweightloss.com. What do I want to achieve with both blogs initially? My answers were as follows:
- Quality content to help people
- I need more traffic for that
- How to get that traffic?
Therefore so far my yearly plan is as follows:
- LilianaontheNet.com: I will post a daily business tip in my blog, FaceBook Page, Twitter, and my Google + Page
- EasyHCGWeightLoss.com: I will post daily health tip based on a series of videos, a blog post, a video on YouTube, a tweet and in my Google + Page.
- I will publish a Kindle eBook for the Weight Loss blog.
- I will create my Own Product on an IM Niche to be discussed with my mentor
January 2014
- I will enter Ultimate Blog Challenge for both blogs and will comment on 4 (2 for each of my own blogs) blogs.
- From the 6th January I will enter Fan Page Challenge for this blog’s page
- Later January: I will enter YouTube Challenge for EasyHCGWeightLoss.com
- I will record my adventures on a Traffic category on this blog.
- I will comment on two blogs from the Partnership to Success Course.
February 2014
I will start “34 Days to 7000 Daily Visitors Blueprint” as designed by the creator of my favorite spinner: SpinRewriter
That’s is my draft yearly plan and finalised plan for January and February.
Other ways of driving traffic that you should consider are:
- Forums
- eBooks
- Newsletters
- Contests Banners Articles
- ViralMarketing.
Please also note that for January and February I am using free ways of driving traffic. Traffic methods are normally classified as free and paid, but in reality both are paid methods as the “free” takes time (a valuable resource).
Your plan should also consider the following:
- What type of analysis will your marketing be subjected to?
- What is the return on investment that you expect and how are you going to monitor it?
- What is your annual internet marketing budget and how will this be divided among the various marketing strategies that you have selected?
Timelines are equally important because they help you to set milestones. Without timelines you are in constant danger or falling behind or getting confused within your plan for Internet marketing. Keep a strict note for dates and time all projects.
Wishing you all the success in 2014 that you are seeking

I love this post! I am also working on getting more traffic to my blog. I just finished writing an ebook! It was a lot of fun! I’m interested in the 7000 page views thing. I will have to look into that more in detail. Pinning this!

Hi I am investigating if I can let you have copy of the Blueprint. That was a free bonus when I subscribed to http://goo.gl/gUlo8H
Basically it is a Marketing Plan of posting articles using the spinner and directory submission.
I will be recording everything I do from February as this month I am too busy with blog challenges, fanpage challenge and YouTube Challenge

Sorry about the late comment, it was a genuine accident that I didn’t leave one.
I think the best ways to get traffic is to show an interest in other people’s blogs.

No problems 🙂

That looks like a great plan Liliana. I like how you have covered multiple platforms including social media. I know I’ve been slacking on content for my own blog, let alone trying to market it. It’s certainly something I want to focus more on in 2014.
I’m looking forward to keeping up with your progress in PTS as well.

Liliana I have to say I love the layout of your blog, it’s really awesome 🙂
As for your post you hit the nail on the head : Every Business Needs a Marketing Plan and what you’ve outlined above seems like a really good plan of attack for both your IM stuff and your Weight Loss blog.
Look forward to reading more about your journey over the coming months.
Thanks,
Noel.

Great tips to organize yourself for success online!.. I also learned to do this so I can have some guidelines to follow on a daily basis.
I used to be all over the place and not getting much results online when I did not organized myself and actually took the time to sit down and write out a Working-from-Home Tasks Schedule, if we could call it that. lol
Depending if you have any other job or activities, I would also recommend to create a working schedule to follow. Once I started treating this as a “real” job, that’s when I started producing more and spending more time on income producing activities.
Anyways… thank you for sharing this valuable information Liliana! .. great stuff and very important for success online…
Wish you the best success on your journey online! 🙂
